TAL (formerly known as Tower Australia) has been named the winner of the 2011 Plan for Life/AFA Life Company of the Year Award for the second year in a row. The award is based on the performance of each insurer against certain key criteria and takes into account the feedback from financial advisers.
Other finalists for the award were CommInsure (who shared the award with TAL last year) and AXA. Zurich was named the winner of the Service Quality Award while BT and Macquarie won awards for Risk Product Innovation.
In the individual product categories the winners were:
- Term Life/TPD – TAL
- Trauma – AXA
- Income Protection – CommInsure
