TAL have announced that for a limited time all their Accelerated Protection insurance policies will be free of policy fees.
What is Policy Fee?
A policy fee is a fixed amount intended to compensate an insurer for its administration costs which is incorporated into the premium paid to an insurer. By TAL waiving the policy fee there will be an annual saving of up to $84 for new policies and this will apply not just in the first year of the policy but every year the policy is in place.
TAL follows ClearView and MLC in removing policy fees. However, while these other insurers have removed policy fees indefinitely, the TAL offer has an end date of 31 December 2017.
