The same four insurers who announced premium relief to drought affected farmers in NSW and Queensland have stepped up again to offer premium waivers to the victims of the devastating floods in far North Queensland.
The insurers, Zurich, AIA, TAL and OnePath, are offering the following assistance:
- Zurich, TAL and OnePath are providing a two month premium waiver to policyholders in Townsville and the surrounding areas where there has been severe flooding.
- AIA will provide a six month premium waiver to policyholders in these areas, provided that they can show they have qualified for a Government assistance package.
AIA and TAL have also extended their offers to include the victims of the Tasmanian bushfires and have undertaken to replace any policy documents which may have been lost in the floods or bushfires.

The offers will only be available for a limited time, with the insurers indicating closing dates ranging from 31st March to 11th May 2019.
